Philippians 1:20

One topic that some people do not like to talk or think about is death. For many people in the world, this word means the end. For us as believers it means transition.
The Rangers ministry has had a number of past leaders and support staff make the transition from earth to paradise this year with the recent being a lady who yesterday went to be with Jesus. She served the Rangers ministry in Q Store at Camp Hebron in Queensland during the 80’s and early 90’s. For many years she was responsible for the distribution of food for campers at major state and district camps and training camps. Most of the people who were on these camps would only see her at the end of camp where she was acknowledged for her service.

To her, being known did not matter. What mattered to her was that young people got to experience the love of God and enter into a relationship with Him. Through her service, she is responsible for seeing many people come to Jesus. I believe this can be said of all the leaders and support staff who are now with Jesus that have served the Rangers ministry here is Australia over the last 49 years, be it on national, state, district or local Ranger ministry.

Make your life count for Gods glory. Your role as a leader, treasurer, administrator, camping coordinator etc. in the Rangers ministry is vitally important in fulfilling the purpose of the kingdom to Evangelise, Equip and Empower young people to become active disciples of Jesus Christ. Like the Apostle Paul, you too with God’s help will be able to sign off by saying, ‘I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.’
