What a great day at Activate Church in Wantirna Melbourne as Julie and I ran the Fundamentals Training Course for 14 people.
The 14 participants are a good spread of ages, life experiences and skills (including one young lady that is weeks from completing a Cert IV in Outdoor Recreation). There was a great feeling of excitement.
What was the first word you thought of to put in the missing blank?
Most people who will read that statement will straight away place in the blank the word fail. The words fail and failure are harsh words and each one of us has heard them used many times, sometime even about ourselves. The words conjure up fear. We have all had to do tests of some kind whether they were at school, college, University, a driving test and so on. Many of us are nervous during the test because of the fear of failure.
Reputations, be they good or bad, will leave an indelible mark on the opinions of others about each one of us.
Reputations are important as they carry great influence. When we are seeking the services of a person with a particular skill, some people would rather use a person based on the reputation of the person's quality of work rather than the cheapest price.
There are many people who believe in following the stars (star signs), with some not even leaving the house without first reading what it says in the star sign for the day.
My favourite 'star sign' is the Southern Cross. This has been a very popular star constellation throughout the years featured on of course our very own Australian Flag (along with 4 other countries), and the famous Eureka Stockade flag.
